PortShuttle as an organizer in the port of Rotterdam<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Since our establishment in 2015, our goal has been to enhance the productivity and efficiency of rail transport in the Port of Rotterdam. Over the years, our ambition has grown. We have developed PortShuttle into the organizer of reliable and cost-effective solutions for container exchange in Rotterdam, coupled with efficient rail transport.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We now connect all deepsea container terminals on the Maasvlakte and City Terminals continuously. It started with one train in 2015, but we are proud to now operate multiple trains. Day in and day out, we ensure containers reach their destinations in the port on time to continue their journey to their final destination.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n

How do we work?<\/h4>\n

Every week, the Port of Rotterdam serves as the origin and destination for over 250 intermodal rail connections. Rail transport to and from Rotterdam is fast and reliable, offering excellent capabilities for transporting large volumes of containers.<\/p>\n

We collaborate with long-distance rail carriers to utilize empty spaces in their trains, creating an extensive network of exchange opportunities within our port. This initiative, known as our Virtual PortShuttle Concept, not only provides our customers with optimal exchange solutions but also maximizes the use of train capacity and terminal slots.<\/p>\n

Our Virtual PortShuttle Concept extends beyond creating an exchange network within our port. For the rail operators in our virtual concept, we manage their trains during their stay in the Port of Rotterdam. Together, we find the most efficient way to handle trains in Rotterdam’s port.<\/p>\n
